Dri-Lex & Windtex, a match of undisputed quality

An alliance in researching increasingly high-performance materials
Vagotex, a leader in bonding and processing techno fabrics, will distribute the famous Dri-Lex
The American Faytex Corporation, a leading producer of lining for footwear including the original patented Dri-Lex, has come to an agreement with the Veronese firm Vagotex Windtex, itself a leader in the field of bonding and processing fabrics for techno sportwear and for footwear in general.
Vagotex Windtex has been in the trade for over 20 years with the innovative ad technological membrane Windtex. It has recently obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification and created “Accoppiato di Qualita”, the one and only guarantee against ”delamination” of bonded materials, caused by frequent washing. In fact, an Italian firm that has demonstrated outstanding reliability and expertise, as well as product quality, to make it a leader in the sector of techno fabrics. All this obviously didn’t escape the attentation of Faytex Corporation that has found in Vagotex Windtex an ideal partner both for distribution of the original patented Dri-Lex and in developing new hi-tech lining materials, bonding Dri-Lex with Windtex.
The particularity of Dri-Lex with Hydrofil lies in the combination of two hydrophilic and hydrophobic materials used in two areas. The hydrophobic one comes into direct contact with skin and remains dry, while the *hydrophilic one “pumps” perspiration/humidity out. This ensures that skin always remains dry and comfortable. Another outstanding characteristic of ”multizone” Dri-Lex Hidrofil is its versatility: it can be used to line footwear and fabrics, as well as for specific articles like rucksacks, helmets and even skates. The exclusive patent makes Dri-Lex one of the top-quality brands in the sector. On its part, Windtex is a thermoregulating membrane that, apart from protecting against water and wind and creating a microclimate between skin and fabric, is also elastic and lightweight. The latter characteristics distinguish it from other membranes that, although similar to Windtex, do not offer the same degree of stretch and lightness.
This is why Windtex is used in the manufacture of all types of sportwear and both technical and urban footwear. Windtex has achieved an important breakthrough in maintaining a natural microclimate for footwear that is lighter but also waterproof and breathable. There is also the possibility of extending its use to provide a better quality of life.
